AMWA & EMIG Present NCEDSV

Judy Henderson is the training coordinator for the Nevada Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (NCEDSV). She is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational strategies that support the mission of NCEDSV.
This one-hour presentation will cover the basic dynamics of intimate partner violence and how this directly impacts the health of a patient. The role of the healthcare provider is unique since this trusting relationship presents an opportunity to intervene appropriately to promote the safety of the patient and offer them resources to reduce the continuation of relationship violence and sexual assault.
