Post-MSN Graduate Certificate - FNP

Our Post-Master of Science in Nursing Certificate is designed to help you expand your nursing skills with an additional specialty as a family nurse practitioner. The Post-MSN Certificate Program is open to registered nurses who have completed a Master of Science in Nursing degree at a regionally or nationally accredited and nursing specialty accredited institution (CCNE, NLNAC, CNEA, ACEN).

Post-MSN Program Features

Coursework

Your coursework emphasizes the application of evidence to clinical or educational practice. Most courses are online so you can fit it into your weekly schedule to meet the demands of your busy professional and personal life.

Practicum Placement Assistance

We offer placement assistance for your clinical practicum experience. However, we know you may be in the best position to identify and secure clinical preceptors and practice sites within the community, so we will help you complete the correct documentation.

Certification

You will be prepared to meet eligibility requirements for AANP and ANCC Family Nurse Practitioner national certification exams.

Post-MSN Accreditation

Touro University Nevada is fully accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) as a branch campus of the Touro University California school.

The post-graduate APRN certificate program at Touro University Nevada is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Admission Requirements

To join the Touro Nevada family, we need to learn more about you. For the Post MSN Graduate Certificate program, there are a few requirements needed for admission.

Requirements Overview

  • Hold a MSN degree from a program of nursing accredited by national or regional accreditation body that is recognized by CHEA and by a nursing accreditor, including CCNE, NLNAC, CNEA, or ACEN.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Personal Statement
  • Letter of Recommendation from a Nursing or Healthcare supervisor/professional
  • Hold an active, unencumbered RN license in the US State or territory in which the clinical rotations will be completed

Complete your Touro application today and submit a non-refundable application fee of $75.

Deadlines

You must submit all required information to the admissions department by the deadlines.

  • Fall cohort - September 26 (Start Date: November 4, 2024)
  • Spring cohort - January 18 (Start Date: March 3, 2025)
  • Summer cohort - May 23 (Start Date: July TBD, 2025)
