Current Research Opportunities
Injectable Weight Loss or Diabetic Medication Research
For a research study looking into the long-term effects of GLPR1/ GLPR1 +GIP Receptor Agonist Drugs on gut microbiome health and risk factors associated with neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Schizophrenia, Multiple Sclerosis, etc.
Seeking individuals who are considering taking GLP-1/GLP-1 + GIP receptor agonist drugs for weight loss and/or to treat diabetes, including medications such as Wegovy, Ozempic, Rybelsus, Trulicity, Byetta, Victoza, Adlyxin, Mounjaro, or Zepbound.
DISCLAIMER: Weight loss drugs are not provided through Touro Nevada, they need to be obtained through primary care physician and/or insurance.
Your Role:
- Provide blood and stool samples before the start of the treatment and at regular intervals for the next two years
Requirements:
- Living in Las Vegas, NV currently and for the next two years
- Certain health conditions and medications may require exclusion
- Preferred under the age of 50 years
- Have not started drug treatment yet
Compensation: Participants will receive a $25 Amazon gift card per visit

Sun Study Research
Living in Las Vegas means enjoying plenty of sunshine — but it also means taking extra care to protect our skin from the desert sun. You are being invited to participate in a research survey about sun exposure, sunscreen use, and skin cancer awareness in the greater Las Vegas community. The survey is being conducted in collaboration with IMPACT Melanoma.
The goal of this survey is to understand how people in the community protect themselves from the sun and to identify ways to improve sun-safety programs. The results will be used for public health research, community outreach, and to guide future sun-safety initiatives.
