Parental Involvement and Family Engagement
This 3-credit hour online course is an approved class for Parental Involvement and Family Engagement (PIFE) license provision.
This course emphasizes the importance of school and family communication and collaboration in order to support the student learning environment in school and at home. Participants will discuss the importance of promoting an equal partnership between parents, families and schools in making decisions that affect children, parents and families and in informing, influencing and creating school policies, practices and programs.

Multicultural Education: Facilitating Learning for Diverse Learners
This course prepares educators to administer and facilitate classroom and school programs for multicultural student populations. Informing students about the diverse (race, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, age, religion or religious creed, disability, language background, and any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law) needs of all individuals within the school community, it also emphasizes self-reflection, intercultural dialogue, engaged action, and the teaching and leadership that will ensure all students receive quality, flexible, and responsive instructional services that meet diverse individual needs.
