Education
As an educator, you understand the many rewards education offers. You face demanding challenges in your profession and at Touro Nevada, our job is to give you the tools to overcome obstacles that you can apply right now. With online courses, the School of Education degrees and advanced certificates are built around your schedule.
DANIELLE MILLS: Besides being online, the other important part to me was the sequence of the courses and the fact that we start our dissertation very early on. Other programs wait until the end of your program and then it ends up, you know, extending that program. And it was important for me to start that early so that I had the support of the faculty to get through that major hurdle.
NARRATOR: In addition to the master's and doctoral degree programs, the School of Education also offers advanced studies certificate programs for professional development in areas such as Spanish, technology, adaptive physical education, autism, special education, and other specialty areas.
KARL BATDORFF: I've been teaching for ten years in Clark County, and I'm taking this class to get a certificate in Spanish because it can help me communicate with my students. I enjoy it because it's after school and it's only two nights a week, which is really great. And the teachers are great here.
ANDREA DABRIEL: I am a lifelong learner and want to make sure that I have the most up to date information as a teacher and Touro is definitely the place that I could find the best teachers and the best curriculum. And also, I love having the autism department here and we're able to visit kids that are on the spectrum and be able to see what they need in real time and be able to come back to the classroom and use the information I learned to be able to better my education.
NARRATOR: The School of Education programs were designed for working professionals, with courses conveniently offered both online as well as on campus during nights and weekends.
ANDREA DABRIEL: I work a full time job and I have a brand new baby at home, so Touro has the best opportunity for me to be able to do nighttime and online courses, and it's so flexible for me to be able to quickly get here, be here at night, get the best education I can, and be home for my family.
DANIELLE MILLS: Well, when you have those road blocks and you need some type of clarification, the faculty are there either by phone call or by email or through the learning management system where you can contact them and get a response to your questions within 24 hours or less.
NARRATOR: Whether you're looking to advance your career, grow your skill set, or transition into a different area of education, Touro's School of Education will put you on a path toward professional development and financial advancement. See yourself here, at Touro Nevada.
