Start Biography

Prior to becoming the Dean of Students at Touro University Nevada, Dr. Tompkins served as a Resident Director at Clemson University and UCLA; Coordinator of Residence Hall Communities (Area Coordinator) at the University of Wisconsin, Madison; Director of Student Life at Arizona State University; Dean of Student Life, and Associate Vice President of Student Affairs at Central Arizona College.

In addition to his administrative work, he has taught at several universities, including Clemson University, University of Wisconsin, Madison, Central Arizona College, and Northern Arizona University in both the School of Social and Behavioral Science and the School of Education. Course topics have included leadership in education, history of education, multiculturalism for teacher educators, classroom management, and a variety of courses focused on student success.
