REPORT A POSSIBLE TITLE IX VIOLATION

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities which receive Federal financial assistance. Title IX states that: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. Consistent with the requirements of Title IX, Touro University Nevada maintains a policy of non-discrimination against any person in employment or in any of its programs.

Full-time faculty, staff, and administrators at Touro University Nevada are considered “mandatory reporters.” Mandatory Reporters have the obligation to report Title IX violations that you know have occurred or are occurring, or that you reasonably believe may have occurred or are occurring. Students may also report suspected violations. If there is an imminent threat to anyone’s personal safety or if there is an emergency in progress, please call 911 (ask for Henderson). Then contact TUN security (from any internal phone, ext. 007 or call 702-358-6701) immediately so responders can be directed to the campus location.

If there is no imminent threat or emergency, and if you have reason to believe a Title IX violation is, has or may have occurred, please complete and submit the following form as soon as possible.
