Biostatistical Support Center
The Center supports data analysis, oral/written communication of research and provides assistance with experimental design and power analysis, data entry/database and cleaning advice, descriptive statistics, survey validation and analysis, reliability analysis, factor analyses and structural equation models. Dr. Vanier employs also other linear models (ANOVA, regression), mixed and hierarchical models, generalized linear and non-linear models, high dimensionality data analysis (such as genomic or microbial data sets), machine learning, resampling methods, some Bayesian techniques, etc. The Center also assists investigators with data archiving, which is required by many entities which fund or publish research.
The Jay Sexter Library provides access to the library's books, journals and databases. These databases include PubMed@TUN, Embase, Cochrane, UpToDate, and other tools available through the library's paid subscriptions, including RefWorks. Most of the library's resources can also be accessed from off-campus locations. Workshops are periodically available on a variety of research topics. For help, please feel free to contact library faculty in person, by phone or through online chat. You can also find help via the library’s research guides, available from the library homepage.
BioImaging Core Facility
The BioImaging Core Facility provides critical imaging and microscopy resources to investigators at Touro University Nevada. Equipment in the facility includes wide-field, confocal, SIM (structured illumination microscopy), FRET (Forster resonance energy transfer) and high-resolution STORM (stochastic optical reconstruction microscopy) capabilities as well as instruments for nanoparticle tracking analysis, fluorescence imaging of extracellular vesicles and measurement of zeta-potential. Also, a nine-channel flow cytometer with capability to analyze extracellular vesicles and other nanoparticles.
Vivarium
The lab is a research facility available to Touro Nevada faculty and research partners specifically designed to study and culture organisms.
Academic Computing
Academic Computing provides quality and timely products to support research and publications for faculty, students, and staff. In addition to production services, Academic Computing provides consultation and design support for presentations, exhibits, instructional programs, facilities, or any media-related projects.
