The Doctor of Physician Associate program is a post-professional doctoral program designed exclusively for the working, practicing Physician Associate/Assistant seeking advanced professional development. You will refine your clinical and research skills within your chosen track, preparing you to pursue specialized leadership roles that drive innovation in the medical industry.
The DPA curriculum complements and builds on entry-level PA education, designed to prepare graduate PAs for specialized roles in healthcare across four doctoral track options: Clinical Medicine/Surgery, Medical Education, Behavioral Health, and Healthcare Administration. The program offers a three-semester Standard Curriculum Pathway or a two-semester Individualized Program Curriculum Pathway for qualifying DPA students.
Through rigorous graduate-level coursework and a track-aligned Capstone Doctoral Project, students develop advanced competencies for evidence-based practice, research methodology, and scholarly inquiry aligned with the program's goals and outcomes.
The program is designed to elevate your career with a focus on your clinical specialty. DPA graduates will be prepared to apply specialized expertise, contribute to research, and assume leadership roles across clinical practice, education, healthcare administration, and the broader medical industry.
