Multiple $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to 1st year Osteopathic Medicine students who meet all eligibility requirements.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: To be considered for the Clark County Medical Society Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a 1st year student in the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program;
- Be in good academic standing with a 2.0 cumulative GPA at TUN;
- Be a Clark County resident;
- Students who intend to practice in Clark County will be given preference (please reference this within your essay); and
- Demonstrate financial need. Therefore, you must have a completed current academic year Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with the U.S. Department of Education (studentaid.gov). Your FAFSA/SAR must reflect Touro University –Vallejo, CA, School Code 041426.
This scholarship is provided by the Clark County Medical Society. The Clark County Medical Society (CCMS) is a professional organization of nearly 2,000 doctors, medical residents, physician assistants, and medical students. The organization advocates for physicians and their patients in Southern Nevada, encouraging the delivery of quality health care within the community.
Multiple $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Osteopathic Medicine students who meet all eligibility requirements.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: To be considered for the Clark County Medical Society Alliance Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be an admitted student in the College of Osteopathic Medicine;
- Be in good academic standing with a 3.5 cumulative TUN GPA; and
- Attended a high school in Clark County, Nevada.
This scholarship is provided by the Clark County Medical Society Alliance. CCMSA is a non-profit service organization comprised of spouses of members of the Clark County Medical Society and the American Medical Association. Primarily a service organization, CCMSA focuses on health-related needs in the community, initiating their own projects or providing volunteer hours and monetary assistance to charitable organizations or groups.
The Engelstad Endowed Scholarship will allow Touro to provide scholarship support for some of the nation’s brightest students. Admission to medical school and other graduate healthcare programs is highly competitive, and the Engelstad Scholars Program will help provide the scholarship support that is often a deciding factor for students who can select from numerous admissions opportunities. The program will also help Touro attract a more diverse student body, specifically students from first-generation families or at-risk communities who want to pursue their academic studies at Touro.
In addition to demonstrating financial need, students must also complete community service as a condition of receiving this grant award.
This scholarship is provided by the Engelstad Family Foundation. The Engelstad Family Foundation was created in 2002 by Ralph & Betty Engelstad for the purpose of partnering to create solutions in medical research, improving day-to-day living for people with disabilities, and raising the possibilities for high risk individuals.
Up to three (3) $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to eligible students.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: To be considered for the Nevada Gold Mines Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in one of the following programs at Touro University Nevada:
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS), or
- Master of Science in Nursing –Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN);
- Be in good academic standing with a 3.0 cumulative TUN GPA;
- Be a rural Northern Nevada resident/high-school graduate ;
- Priority will be given to students who are residents from the following Nevada counties: Elko, Eureka, Lander, or Humboldt; or
- Secondary priority will be given to other rural Northern Nevada counties.
This scholarship is provided by the Nevada Gold Mines. Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation, combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world, and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.
Up to two (2) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to qualified military veterans.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: To be considered for the Christy and Alan Molasky Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be enrolled in one of the degree programs at TUN;
- Must have an overall 3.0 cumulative TUN GPA; and
- Must be a military veteran who has been honorably discharged from military service.
This scholarship is provided by the Molasky Family Foundation. Christy and Alan Molasky has always held a deep passion for education and helping others. They have also held great regard for military veterans and supports their quest for higher education. That is why the Molaskys continue their support in scholarship funds for Touro's student veterans.
The scholarship will be awarded to current Physician Assistant Studies students who are planning to or are interested in a mental health specialty. Up to two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded each year.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: To be considered for the Alexander Matthew Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled student in good academic standing in the Physician Assistant Studies degree program at Touro University Nevada;
- Must demonstrate financial need; and
- Must provide a written essay to the scholarship committee regarding the following:
- Describe your experience (before the PA program) working or volunteering within mental health.
- What are your plans to work in mental health after graduation?
This scholarship is funded by the Alan and Christy Molasky Family Foundation.
Three (3) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to qualified Physician Assistant students.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: To be considered for CVS Health Foundation Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time student in good academic standing in the PA program;
- Must have worked with organizations that are supporting underserved populations as a student, volunteer, or in a professional capacity;
- Preference will be given to students who are active military or veterans;
- Preference will be given to students who are bilingual; and
- Recipients will be selected regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin.
This scholarship is sponsored by the CVS Health Foundation. The CVS Health Foundation is a health care innovation company with a simple and clear purpose: Helping people on their path to better health. CVS Health has a long tradition of supporting the academic aspirations of young scholars and they believe the future success of their company, the health of the community, and the overall prosperity of the economy relies heavily on the educational system and its accessibility to students.
One (1) $5000 scholarship will be awarded to a Physical Therapy student.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: To be considered for Evan Zettas Perlman Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a 1st year student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program;
- Be in good academic standing with a 3.5 cumulative GPA at TUN; and

When you join Touro University Nevada as a student, faculty, or staff, you become part of the Touro family. In August 2020, one of our family members tragically lost his life in a car accident. Evan Zettas Perlman, a first-year doctor of physical therapy student, will forever be in our hearts and in our memories. The loss of such a young man, one who had so much promise, is so very sad.
In honor of Evan, Touro University Nevada has established the Evan Zettas Perlman Memorial Scholarship to benefit Touro University Nevada School of Physical Therapy students.
Touro University Nevada is committed to increasing affordability and accessibility for out-of-state students. Multiple scholarships will be awarded to incoming, out-of-state, first-year students for tuition purposes. The scholarship will cover 50-100% of their first term’s tuition.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: To be considered for the Welcome to Nevada Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a first-year incoming student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program or the Occupational Therapy Doctorate program
- Be an Out-of-State Resident
- Must demonstrate financial need. Therefore, you must have a completed current academic year Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with the U.S. Department of Education (studentaid.gov). Your FAFSA/SAR must reflect Touro University –Vallejo, CA, School Code 041426.
- Preference is given to those that are relocating the furthest (mileage)
- Scholarship applicants will also be reviewed for academic competitiveness, based on their admissions application
