Robert M Frampton, PT, DHCE, MPT
Dr. Frampton is a Professor and Dean of the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) at Touro University Nevada (TUN). He has been a licensed physical therapist for over 30 years. He began as the Program Director for the School of Physical Therapy at TUN in December of 2024. From 2022 until December 2024, he served as the Assistant Dean for the School of Health Professions; in 2020 was the Founding Program Director for the Physical Therapy program at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Frampton was Chairperson, Founding Physical Therapy Program Director, and faculty at the University of Mount Union from 2014 to 2020. He was Chairperson, Director and Faculty at the University of Findlay Physical Therapy program from 2003 to 2013. He served the College of Health Professions at Findlay as the Interim Dean from 2007 to 2008. Dr. Frampton was a founding faculty member of the Physical Therapy Program at Youngstown State University and was employed there from 1996 to 2002.
Dr. Frampton received his Bachelor of Health Sciences in 1991 and his Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree in 1993 from Duquesne University. He obtained a Graduate Certificate in Bioethics from Youngstown State University in 1998 and in 2002 he received the Doctor of Healthcare Ethics (DHCE) from Duquesne University of the Holy Ghost in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended the Intensive Bioethics Course XXVI at Georgetown University in 2001 and served as a member of the faculty for the Consortium Ethics Program (CEP) at the University of Pittsburgh from 2000-2002.
Dr. Frampton was a member of the Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board from 2003-2009 and served as the Physical Therapy Board Chairperson from 2007-2009. He has served the Federation of State Board of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) from 2004 to present on several committees and tasks forces, including the Ohio JAM. His scholarship interests focus on the scholarship of teaching and learning, ethics in clinical practice, and end of life issues including hospice and palliative care. He has publications and presentations in these areas within different professional settings.
