Beginning in December 2024, Dr. Robert Frampton, PT, DHCE, MPT, is the new Director of the School of Physical Therapy at Touro University Nevada.

Dr. Frampton is eager to develop relationships with community partners, improve recruitment, and collaborate with faculty on the curriculum to deliver the best educational experience to students.

“Dr. Frampton has a long history with Touro Nevada being a former Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) reviewer with his first onsite training here in 2008,” said Dr. Andrew Priest, Provost & Chief Academic Officer. “Since then, he’s had a remarkable career in the educational space of physical therapy and we’re so thrilled to welcome him back.”

Dr. Frampton arrives in Nevada from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he served as the Assistant Dean for the School of Health Professions at Concordia University. He was the founding program director for two physical therapy programs: the University of Mount Union and, more recently, Concordia University Ann Arbor. He also served as the founding Director of Clinical Education at Youngstown State University. He has been a licensed physical therapist for over 30 years and has served on the Federation of State Board of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) in several committees and task forces.

“I am thrilled to be working with the faculty at Touro Nevada who have tremendous years of clinical experience to inspire the next generation of physical therapists that will help countless future patients,” shared Dr. Frampton. “The true fulfillment of my career comes when I have the privilege of calling a student a colleague.”
