Touro University Nevada Physicians Honored with “Top Doctor” Recognitions in Healthcare Quarterly Magazine
Three of Touro University Nevada’s physicians and professors from the College of Osteopathic Medicine were recognized as “Top Doctors” in the most recent issue of Healthcare Quarterly Magazine.
The “Top Doctors” issue of Healthcare Quarterly recognized doctors from various specialties across the Las Vegas Valley. According to the magazine, its editorial staff surveyed thousands of local physicians for their recommendations of doctors by specialty, selecting only those who received multiple nominations. The editorial staff also opened the survey to the public for the first time with their “Reader’s Choice” category.
Dr. Scott Harris, Assistant Dean of Clinical Education, was recognized as a “Top Doctor” in Rheumatology, one of only five rheumatologists to be honored. Dr. Aurelio Muyot and Dr. Julie Zacharias-Simpson, both of whom work in Specialty Medicine, were two of only three “Top Doctors” to be honored in Geriatrics.
Touro University Nevada also had additional faculty, adjunct professors, and alumni recognized as part of the 2020 “Top Doctors” Issue. Dr. Dodge Slagle, Assistant Professor in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, was named a “Top Doctor” for Psychiatry; Dr. Larry Lehrner, the husband of Touro CEO & Senior Provost, Shelley Berkley, was named a “Top Doctor” for Nephrology, and more.
More than 200 total physicians from across the Las Vegas Valley were included in the 2020 “Top Doctors” issue.
