Touro University Nevada Medical Students, Faculty, Alumni, and Staff Travel to Annual OMED Conference
Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine was well represented at the annual Osteopathic Medical Education Conference (OMED) in Baltimore, the American Osteopathic Association’s (AOA) largest conference of the year.
“OMED is so much more than just providing educational experiences. It is a venue to make great connections and to look forward together,” said Dr. Wolfgang Gilliar, Dean of Touro’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Held inside the Baltimore Convention Center, attendees were able to network, learn from informative workshops and CME sessions, and visit with old friends and classmates throughout the medical community.
Along with Touro University California, Touro College-Harlem, and Touro College-Middletown, Touro University hosted a booth in the exhibit hall filled with swag and informational flyers about the university system.
“Participating in OMED is such an effective way for our students to come together with classmates, faculty, and Touro University Nevada alumni during the biggest osteopathic medical conference of the year,” said Schyler Richards, Touro’s Vice President of Advancement. “Touro University Nevada had a great presence at this year’s conference, and we know that next year’s will be even better.”
