“What we want to do is help these students understand the investment that is being made in them. Because of these scholarships, they are going to have a greater sense of commitment and passion,” said Alexandra Silver, Executive Director of CCMS.

Kalin Ashby, a scholarship recipient from the School of Physical Therapy, said scholarships make a huge difference, especially when trying to raise a child while going to school.

“It was a family thing for me,” he said. “I have a child who’s almost two, and receiving these generous scholarships will help my family and I in the long term. Every dollar counts.”

“Scholarships are beautiful things, because donors are allowing students the purpose and potential to give back,” said scholarship recipient Meena Sandhu. “That scholarship will translate to everyone those students come across. Scholarship recipients will work to help others, and hopefully those people will help others as well. It’s a domino effect of giving.”
