Touro University Nevada Hosting Second Annual “Season of Lights” Event to Benefit Center for Autism & Developmental Disabilities
Touro University Nevada (TUN) will host its second annual “Season of Lights” luncheon and silent auction at the Nevada State Museum on Sunday, December 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit families who utilize diagnostic and treatment services of the TUN Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities and cannot afford services.
For many families, a diagnosis of Autism can be life-altering and comes with considerable costs for services.
The Center will present its “Touro Luminary Award” to The Dave Rice Foundation during the luncheon. This will be the inaugural year for the award which will be given to those that make a tremendous impact in the lives of families visiting the Center each year. This past spring, following its second annual fundraiser, “An Evening with Dave Rice,” the Dave Rice Foundation awarded the Center a $32,000 grant.
Attendees will enjoy a delicious lunch as they support the current and future families of The Center while taking in the breathtaking view of the Las Vegas valley and Springs Preserve. A silent auction featuring a collection of artwork, jewelry, and dinner/show packages will also be a part of the event. Throughout the event, guests will enjoy live acoustic performances from Bella Electric Strings. The immensely talented rock violinists have entertained audiences worldwide with their unique arrangements. The girls have performed alongside some of the biggest names in the business, from Beyonce to Andrea Bocelli, becoming one of the most sought-after acts in North America.
