Tina Chao
Professor Chao serves as a dedicated faculty member in the Physician Assistant program at Touro University Nevada, bringing a wealth of expertise in clinical medicine and a passion for education. She serves as the course director of Medical Interviewing and Clinical Correlations, combining academic rigor with real-world experience to guide the next generation of healthcare professionals. In these courses, students work with the simulation center, standardized patients, and high fidelity manikins. Professor Chao's commitment to student success ensures that students not only master core competencies but also develop the critical thinking skills necessary for compassionate, patient-centered care. She also volunteers with PA students at Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada and coordinates international rotations for PA students.
Beyond the classroom, Professor Chao enjoys teaching yoga classes and spending time with her significant other and their two Shiba Inus.
