Robert G "Bob" Nydam, PA-C
Professor Robert Nydam, DPA, MSPA, PA-C, is an Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Studies program at Touro University Nevada. A retired U.S. Air Force veteran, he served from 1989 to 2010 with multiple overseas deployments in both peacetime and combat operations. After earning his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2015, Professor Nydam practiced extensively in urgent care and Emergency Medicine. He continues to work clinically through per-diem shifts in a hospital-based Emergency Department, maintaining active involvement in acute care medicine while teaching.
Professor Nydam began teaching at Touro University Nevada as an adjunct faculty member in September 2021 and transitioned to full-time faculty in October 2022. In addition to his classroom and clinical instruction, he precepts PA students in community outreach settings, including Friends in the Desert, a mobile health clinic serving vulnerable populations. His combined clinical and academic experience supports a practical, patient-centered approach to PA education and student mentorship.
