Michael Clark, DMSc, PhD, PA, FACC, DFAAPA
Dr. Clark is the Program Director for the Doctor of Physician Associate Program at Touro University Nevada. As well as an educator, he is a Physician Associate specializing in cardiovascular medicine at Heart Center of North Texas in Weatherford Texas. He has over 35 years of clinical and academic experience.
He is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology, Fellow in the Association of Physician Associates in Cardiology, and Distinguished Fellow in the American Academy of Physician Associates. He has a degree in Physician Associate Sciences from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He completed a Doctor of Medical Science at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and a PhD and Masters in Life Sciences from the City University Los Angeles. He completed a post graduate internship in at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.
Dr. Clark has been involved in academia at several universities and was founding faculty for two Texas PA programs including founding director for the Texas Tech Health Science Center PA program. He currently holds adjunct clinical appointments at Touro University in Long Island, New York, Chatham University Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rocky Mountain University Provo Utah, and University of North Texas Health Science Center Fort Worth, Texas. He has been author or co-author of several journal publications and medical text contributions. He is a retired U.S. Navy officer.
