Katie Hoskins, MLS, MEd, AHIP
Before working in libraries, Katie spent more than 10 years serving customers in a variety of hospitality venues: a tourist attraction in Florida Everglades, hotels (front desk and food and beverage), restaurants, Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, and conferences/conventions.
The skills Katie learned from the hospitality industry are beneficial as a librarian. She has been in academic libraries for more than 15 years total and within health sciences libraries since 2020.
Katie will be developing instructional materials, research guides, web tutorials, videos, and other support services to promote the Jay Sexter Library's resources and services. She is looking forward to collaborating with students, faculty, and staff to support research, teaching, and learning.
