Heidi Johnston, DNP, RN, CNE
Dr. Johnston has been in the nursing profession for 25 years and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels for the last 15 years. She has taught in a variety of settings – didactic, clinical, laboratory/simulation, and online. Her areas of scholarship are graduate and faculty education and in rural nursing education. Her vision is that students will be compassionate providers who find joy in nursing and are prepared to address health disparities, confront systemic racism, and counter health care inequities to improve patient and population health outcomes.
Dr. Johnston obtained her DNP in Leadership and Population Health from Boise State University, her MSN and RN-BSN from University of Phoenix, and her AAS from Great Basin College.
