Elias Ptak, DO
Elias J. Ptak, D.O., is board-certified in Family Medicine/OMT and in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. He graduated from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine –California in 2005 and completed residency training in Family Medicine in 2008 and subsequent training in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine in 2009 at Downey Regional Medical Center in Downey, CA.
He then became Assistant Professor in the Family Medicine and OMM Departments at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Pomona, CA. While at Western University, he was the Course Director for the second year medical students “Essentials of Clinical Medicine-Physical Diagnosis” for two years and taught in the OMM department for both first and second year students.
After practicing Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Western University’s clinics and teaching in their classrooms for three years, he accepted a position with Touro University-Nevada in 2011. He is now an Associate Professor in the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Department, where he is the Course Director for the first year medical students. He currently specializes in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at the Touro University Health Center.
