Diversity in Medicine and the Importance of Recognizing Cultural Differences in Patients

The Office of Student Involvement, Student National Medical Association (SNMA), and the Student Association of Obstetrics & Gynecology (SAOG) are pleased to welcome Dr. Annette Mayes, MD, to campus on February 20 at 12pm in D1309.  Dr. Mayes is a prominent OB/GYN doctor in the Las Vegas valley that came from humble beginnings.  She will share how true grit got her to where she is today, and why it’s important to recognize cultural differences in patients.  We’d like to thank Las Vegas Black Image Magazine for helping to bring Dr. Mayes to campus for this presentation.  Lunch will be served for attendees.
