Demystifying the Science Behind COVID Vaccines

In 2020 the world experienced an historic viral pandemic that emphasized disparities within society, including those within the current medical systems and related activities. The extra attention has highlighted the extent to which vaccine hesitancy has circulated communities of color and the need for education from the health equity perspective. The Nevada Office of Minority Health and Equity (NOMHE) presents a unique opportunity to address this hesitancy by giving our community (especially those most underserved) the information they need to make decisions regarding their health via the second part of the Demystify Webinar Series – specifically addressing COVID-19 vaccinations. The purpose is to help all communities to understand the related science and protocols from the point of vaccine development all the way through post-vaccine safety efficacy.
