Dr. Roy has B.S. degrees in Biology and Physical Therapy, earned a Ph.D. in Anatomy at West Virginia University, and did two years of postdoctoral study on craniofacial development in the late Dr. Jan Langman's lab at the University of Virginia. Dr. Roy moved from the University of Mississippi Medical Center to Touro University Nevada in 2005. Along with Dr. Terence Ma, he wrote the electronic dissector and study guide that is used by the osteopathic medical class. Dr. Roy has 40 years of experience teaching and directing courses in human gross anatomy and embryology for medical, dental, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other students.

Dr. Roy is co-author of Rapid Review Gross and Developmental Anatomy, 3rd ed., a book for medical students studying for the USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX Level 1. He was a primary reviewer for chapters in the fifth edition of Clinically Oriented Anatomy and in the first two editions of Grays Atlas of Anatomy.
