Where is the White Coat Ceremony and what time does it start?
You can find the yearly location information on the main white coat page as it is finalized each year. The procession will begin promptly. We ask that all guests are in their seats at this time.
Do I need a ticket?
No, this is not a ticketed event.
How does seating work?
The venue has more than 2,000 seats. Seating is first‐come first‐served. Guests are welcome to sit in any of the general seating areas. Areas that are roped off are not available and are reserved for faculty, staff, and distinguished guests.
What time will the doors open for guests?
Doors will open at 12:30 pm. Guests will not be permitted into the ballroom before that time.
May I take photographs or video?
Yes, you may take photographs and video. However, for traffic flow, safety purposes, and to allow the professional photographer to take photos of all students unimpeded, the walkways and the area in front of the stage must stay clear. Please also show courtesy to other guests around you so that you do not block their views.
Will there be professional photographs taken? Can we purchase these?
Yes. Professional photographers will be taking photos of each student as they cross the stage and off the stage, as well as a group shot and candid shots before and after the ceremony. These photographs will be available for purchase a few days after the ceremony on the photographer’s website. All students will receive information as to how to order their photographs. While personal photography is permitted, we ask that guests be courteous of those around them and for safety purposes, keep all aisles and walkways clear. Guests are NOT permitted behind the platforms or in front of the seating area.
When will the ceremony be over?
We anticipate the ceremony to last around 2 hours. Please remain in your seats until the recessional is complete.
Where can I park?
Parking is available in the Pavilion parking lot. From Flamingo Rd., turn right into the property, then follow the road around to the back of the building. This lot is closest to the convention center, where the ceremony will be held.
