The Student Health Center encompass many roles and responsibilities. With an open door policy, we strive to support the personal and academic success of Touro University Nevada students and help improve the quality of life and well-being for the campus community. The purpose of the student health center is to treat acute illness and injury, provide educational programs in health and wellness promotion, advocate for students and empower them in their health care decisions.
The institutional student health director along with the records coordinator maintain and house up-to-date immunization records for all TUN students on campus. Utilizing E*value, we encourage students to become proactive in the maintenance of their own immunization records. From an immunization standpoint the student health center works closely with the colleges of COM and CHHS to ensure the students are ready for clerkships and clinical rotations. Along with immunization status, we manage all urine drug screen results. In collaboration with the Health Center and TUN School of Nursing, we organize and implement yearly flu vaccine clinics and PPD clinics for students and staff of TUN.
