The Office of Academic Services and Institutional Support (OASIS) provides academic support to students in all programs. Individual, confidential academic counseling is available by appointment or on a walk-in bases. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Students may contact the Dean of Students and/or the Director of OASIS to discuss options for counseling. Students may use the University’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a free short-term counseling program. The EAP is strictly confidential and free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. EAP can be reached at (800) 865-1044.
Student Counseling Services
Students may receive free, confidential therapy sessions on campus with Dr. Carla Perlotto through Student Counseling Services. This is a short term benefit for many issues that can be used in addition to the EAP program. Students must call 702-777-9971 to arrange an appointment. Information can be obtained through the Dean of Students and other university personnel.
Koru Mindfulness and Meditation classes
are provided by TUN to assist students in learning strategies for reducing stress. The Koru class has been developed specifically with students in mind- it is short (only 75 min. per session for 4 weeks), and we focus on practicing many different mindfulness and meditation strategies.
