Southwest Medical Associates, part of OptumCare, donated $145,000 to the Touro University Nevada Physician Assistant Studies Program to fund the purchase of new equipment and training materials.
Touro University Nevada is pleased to announce it has received a $1.2 million dollar grant from Governor Brian Sandoval’s executive budget. The grant will fund the development of a one-year geriatric medicine fellowship program that will graduate four fellows per year. The university plans to have the first fellows in place by July 2017.

On Wednesday, July 29 the university welcomed its newest class of DO students. 135 future doctors kicked off a three-day orientation that began their medical school training.
