Touro University Nevada Addresses Growing Student Population with Grand Opening of Expanded Student Affairs Division
Touro University Nevada will kick off the grand opening of its newly expanded Student Affairs Division with a press conference, ribbon cutting ceremony and donation announcements from MGM Resorts Foundation and City National Bank.
Shelley Gitomer of MGM Resorts Foundation and John Wilcox of City National Bank will present Touro University with checks from their respective entities to further aid Touro in its mission of addressing the healthcare needs of Southern Nevada and supporting students in both their academic pursuits and their community outreach efforts.
Touro faculty, staff, students and notable attendees, will ceremoniously kick off the grand opening with a reception inside the latest campus expansion immediately following the check presentations and ribbon cutting. Guests will be offered tours of the expanded space immediately following.
The expansion has added 5,000 square feet to the Student Affairs facility to better accommodate its growing student population. It includes 16 offices, 12 individual work stations and a 20-person conference room that can be divided into two separate spaces. The expansion also provides a private space for a new full-time psychologist for student counseling.
