Start Biography

Prior to attending PA school, Nancy developed a great interest in rural health care during her Peace Corps years in Micronesia and Mauritania. After becoming a PA, her first years of clinical work were in rural Idaho followed by two years in Egypt working with the U.S. Army on a very rural training site. She then worked in rural Florida before transitioning into academia in 1997. She became the academic coordinator for the University of Florida's Physician Assistant Program. During her time at the University of Florida, she was awarded an exemplary teacher award from the College of Medicine three times as well as winning the Didactic Teacher of the Year twice.

She joined Touro University Nevada as the academic coordinator in 2006 and has participated and/or started international rotations in Guatemala, Peru, Vietnam and Nepal. She works on the Mobile Health Unit to the homeless and is the student faculty advisor for the AAPA.
