DESCRIPTION:The Touro Nevada Department of Research welcomes seminar speaker Dr. Zolton Mari, from the Parkinson&rsquo;s Disease &amp; Movement Disorders Program at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University. This high-yield session reviews how to recognize, diagnose, and stage Parkinson&rsquo;s disease; the full motor and non-motor spectrum; and current, evidence-based management&mdash;from levodopa optimization and MAO-B/COMT extenders to deep brain stimulation, focused ultrasound, and team-based care. We&rsquo;ll also highlight 2025 updates in biomarkers (including &alpha;-syn seeding assays), genetics-informed risk and trials, digital monitoring, and realistic prospects for disease modification.
