Physician Assistant studies
The School of Physician Assistant Studies has the only physician assistant program in Nevada. In 2004, Touro University Nevada, recognizing the critical shortage of health care providers in the state, opened its doors to both PA and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) students. Since then, other professions such as occupational therapy, nursing, education, and physical therapy, have joined the university, providing a unique opportunity for students to interact with different disciplines, cementing the health care team concept.
This young university’s pioneering spirit along with a vibrant, innovative faculty sets the PA program above its contemporaries. With strong administrative support, collegial relationships within the institution, and a student-centered approach to education, the School of Physician Assistant Studies is truly unique.
